Akadí

The Akadí are Sarethans native to the southern part of the island of Arkay. They share similar facial characteristics and colourations to iguanas but are not related to them. Generally their scales are green, blue, brown or black with secondary red, orange or rarely gold patterns.

Culture

Major language groups and dialects

Yskangii is the main language spoken by akadai. They have two main dialects belonging to the northern and southern halves of Arkay.

Culture and cultural heritage

Akadíans tend to worship the Farmer, Crafter and Healer more than the other Celestials.

Art & Architecture

Most buildings are made out of stone blocks, held together with mortar and decorated with engravings and paintings creating murals depicting the local history.   Akadí are well known for their pottery, including both earthen and stoneware. Arkay has lots of clay in its soil so it is easy for the locals to extract it. Pottery is their main export and their wares range from simple, functional pieces to intricate, more decorative pieces. Often their products will be painted and glazed in single or block colours or may be painted to depict a scene or person.
