Natvetr

Natvetr is a nation located in Exile's Vale in northeastern Orioth. One of the three member nations of the Farborne Coalition, Natvetr is ruled from the city of Lyonav. A warrior culture, the Natvetiri are often seen as rough or barbaric by other nations, especially their southern neighbors in Caledwyn. The population of Natvetr is the same as the Vale itself, made up primarily of Goliaths, Dragonborn, and Gnomes. The nation is ruled by Dragonlord Lorovhal, who is advised by the Triumvirate Council, made up from representatives of the Four Cantons. Natvetr exports pine lumber from the Qadonri Woods, where they also have large apple orchards. They often favor various apple-based ciders, although the mountain folk tend to prefer blaand, a drink made from fermented goat's milk. The raising of goats is common in Natvetr, leading to a popularity of soft goat cheeses and consumption of goat meat, as well as goat-hide leather and goat-horn accoutrements.
