Ileck is an Astryan human living on the Astrya-Middenvale border, engaged in smuggling magical refugees out of the country after the 769 Magical Act. He is one of four protagonists of The Chronicles of Orcovia.

Personal history
Ileck's family home was on the outskirts of the country, right next to the Astrya-Middenvale border, and since the year he was born, 769, his family had smuggled magical folk to and over the border, to safety in Middenvale, a neighboring and much more liberal country. Since he was about thirteen, he’d been involved.
In the year 785, upon hearing of the burning of Eagora, he instead decided to join the Astryan army- specifically the Asogate regiment, in order to join and aid the budding rebellion there.
Upon arriving, he met Elora Fomane, an Arassh also signed up, and persuaded her to join the rebellion alongside him.
