Nireos, The Grand Competitor

Nireos, The Grand Competitor is the Lesser Deity of Sport and Competition in service of Iros, The Prince of Power.
Nireos is a charming figure, loved by many of the other Numen for his carefree attitude and love of games. He is the pinnacle of what a sportsman should be, graceful in victory and composed in loss, on the rare occasion he does lose a competition that falls under his domain.
He takes his job as a God incredibly seriously, arguably too seriously, gifting his friends and allies within his home of The Wild Lands of Elysium a portion of his power every time a Mortal invents a new sport, often holding a grand tournament to see who should take the new role. He is sensible in only gifting them a tiny amount of power, not much more than an incredibly powerful cleric, but he still holds the record of the most deities under his belt. So many in fact that many of his worshippers are not even aware of them and worship him in their stead. Due to this he's sometimes imagined as having many forms by many different sportspeople that worship him, not knowing that in fact he is trying to send them a message to worship their specific deity. Due to this confusion some see him as a jouster, boxer, or even golfer for the select few who choose to worship him for that aspect of his domain.
Regardless of his shared power and many lesser deities, he is good to his followers, always happy to give aid and advice to those who pray to him.
