Benedict Rivers is the Master of Arms of Dalry, The Thirteenth, the man in charge of their entire military.
A military man through and through, Rivers has fought for Dalry and The Dawn Empire all his life seeing action in the war with Ushgard and the Dalry/Almus War.
A kind man to his soldiers, Rivers' tactics work to minimalize casualties and promote fair warfare. In his early career some accused him of favouritism due to his close relationship with Countess Margret Beaumont, having served on her Mayoral Guard. However, Rivers soon proved himself worthy of his rank with all his contributions.
Rivers would conspire with Countess Beaumont to place her on the throne of Dalry, working with The Crimson Corsairs to weaken Stennis Blackburn's military might and allow the army of Neventer Le Moal to remove Blackburn from command and allow Rivers to take over the army in order for the coup to proceed smoothly.
Rivers regrets the deaths of his soldiers caused by the deception, but he knows that the ends justify the means.
