Auburn Palace
The Auburn Palace is the seat and home of the current ruler of The Dawn Empire.
Built in the early years of the empire by Avethe Juliant I, the palace is named as such due to the auburn tiles that cover each of the many roofs, designed to look like a sunset.
The Auburn Palace has been the seat of the ruler of the Dawn Empire and is large enough to house many of the ruler's extended family and many guests. This is due to the Palace being comprised of many different smaller buildings, the most prominent of which being the Royal Tower, the Aide's Tower, the Mage's Tower, and the Heir's Tower. These four towers of varying size are located in and throughout the large central courtyard of the Palace.
Each tower is named for its purpose, the homes and office of those it is named after. The largest of these is the Aides tower, originally built as a defensive tower, built as the last line of defence, it was instead repurposed once the position of Emperor's Aide was created in order to house he Aides themselves along with their families and any employees they may have. The second largest of the towers is The Royal Tower. This is the home to the ruler and their family, along with any guests they choose. While not the largest it is by far the most opulent tower. The interior holding the nicest furniture and decorations likely in all The Dawn Empire as well as some of the finest magical defences. Next is the Mage's Tower, a grand library and the home to the grandest wizards in the realm, the Emperor's personal mages. This tower is filled with studies and labs, allowing the court mages to go forth with whatever experiments or studies they wish. The smallest of the four towers is the Heir's Tower. This is the home of the current heir of the Empire and their family and any othr guests they choose.
The Palace also boasts a giant kitchen, larger than many people's homes, and a giant banquet hall, larger than some noble's homes. With these two facilities the Palace can host and feed near five hundred guests comfortably. An invite to one of these grand banquets and balls is one of the most prized achievements in many people's lives.
