Anhalo Council of Governors

The Council of Governors were created when Anhalo decided to move away from a traditional aristocracy system, into a more modern form of government with elected positions.

The council holds twelve seats, eleven elected positions and one for the current Duke or Duchess, or their chosen representative.

Each council member bar the ducal ruler is elected in a nation wide election, and subject to re-election every six years. A council member can be expelled early however if a majority of other governors hold a vote of no confidence.

The individual seats do not represent specific industries or region of the Duchy, instead each Governor is given a specific role in which they must perform such as Governor of Agriculture or Governor of Military. They can apply for these roles or be chosen for them, but either way they only get the role is a majority of the council votes them in.
