Firr
The Firr are a small group of felines who came to live in the Flying Forest.
Back before the mold infected the forest they were part of a bigger settlement, but they soon had to decide to either leave the forest due to the infection of Levils creeping further and further, or to stay and find another solutin.
The settlement soon split and a small group stayed and called itself "Firr" deriving it from "Fire".
With this new insight they devised a plan, first it was to heighten the temperature of their surrounding by having constantly burning fires around the city border, but this led to several incidents where parts of the forest or the settlement burned down.
The second method they decided on, and still employ, was to use Fire Signum to increase their internal temperature to around 40°C.
While this had several bad side effects, everything was better than getting infected with the mold; and because this technique worked well enough it got perfected.
All Firr learn at an early age to increase their temperature with minimal side effects.
Firr who cant hold a steady temperature are employed in the settlement and leave it rarely, instead of constantly heating themselves up, they increase their temperature drastically, but for a shorter duration, when they are infected.
