Within the Sanctum of Vaarn the Lich, You find beneath the throne platform there is an open doorway. It leads into another pitch black winding tunnel about 40 feet then opens up into another massive chamber. Pale green light illuminates the area around you. Ahead appears to be the entrance to maze.

Exiting the maze you walk through a small dug out chamber with 7 doorways all glowing with arcane energy. The phylactery must be here. But in which portal?
You must find the right one.
When They find it
You see an ordinary looking ornate box about 2 feet in diameter. It refuses to open at anyone's touch.
Attacks against it seem to have to no effect
A DC 16 Arcana Check reveals the box is vulnerable to Radiant Damage.
If they players reduce the Phylactery to 0 HP they have destroyed it and the Lich.
A fiery blast erupts from the box at the final attack. It begins to shake uncontrollably! Energy begins pulsating out of it. You see spectral orbs flying out in every direction you can only discern these were souls trapped within. Some pass through you as they fly out into the ether. The final orb is much larger and darker in color and where as the others seemed to emanate a soft light, the inside of this one seems to be a black void. As it rises it instantly manifests in corporeal form. You see a spectral version of Vaarn but as he once was. His human form Reaches out to your throat with an angry growl and he seems to freeze in place as his skin dissolves to ghostly muscles, then to nerves, and then to bone and with that his growl turns to a pained scream as it echoes off into the hall as his form dissolves into nothingness and is gone from this world.
