The Laminae

The Peacekeepers within the city of Tirasa. They are made up of Magic users as well as capable Non-Magic fighters. They police petty and violent crime, as well as Misuse of magic within the city walls of Tirasa.

Composition

Manpower

Roughly 900 Members make up the Laminae within Tirasa.

Equipment

They use all manner of search equipment and techniques to help them do their job.
The Higher ranking members are capable of scrying on criminals to find their whereabouts or intentions.

Weaponry

The Lower ranked soldiers use a variety of non magic weapons.
Higher Ranks use Magical weapons as well as spellcasting to arm themselves

Vehicles

As the Laminae operate soully within the city. They do not use vehicles to move about though some members will operate on horseback but that is mainly used for travel between the cities.

Structure

Speakers - Figurehead leadership. Handle public statements as well as announcements made to the public. Consult with Seers and listeners before releasing such statements
Seers - Made up of individuals with the ability to scry as well as detect thoughts. They find and report crimes as they happen as well as report the whereabouts of suspected individuals to Agents within the city for them to apprehend or act accordingly. They are also known to handle interrogations of suspects in custody.
Listeners - Individuals with an uncanny ability to blend in. Either with disguises or with magical invisibility to ascertain information about criminal activity within the city. Spies essentially. They then report their information to Seers to confirm or to Agents to attempt to stop the activity
Agents - The ground soldiers of the organization. They are the most visible members of the Guard Force. They work within the city to keep the peace and stop the misuse of magic within Tirasa. They are often given orders to investigate by information garnered by Seers or Listeners. They also report findings or evidence to the Higher ranks as well. Some agents are not magic users and are as such, technically the only non magic users allowed within the city walls. They use more traditional weapons and methods to take down suspected criminal activity.
The Laminae work in conjunction with the local government.

Tactics

Violence is often the last resort for the Laminae. Thanks to their Ability to scry and their network of spies within the city. Most crime is dealt with before extreme force is deemed necessary. And before civilians are hurt.
If a situation escalates however, The Laminae are well equipped with both weapon and magic to deal with almost any problem that comes their way.

Training

Members of the Abraxios Academy often find themselves going on to join the Laminae as it is an easy way to make money from their skills without resorting to illegal activities. It also allows many of the former students to put their training to good use and keep their abilities sharp.

The Non magical members are considered their auxiliary force. They use more traditional crime fighting methods.

Recruitment

They will accept any able bodied spell caster who is able to complete the rigorous training.
