The Final battle

You are standing near the Baxter Mill before a platoon of Faithful Dominion Soldiers. Rosalind Acknowledges you "I got a message from one of our scouts out in the field. A portal has opened. A tear in dimensions. Out of which The Avatar of Tharizdun has revealed itself. The portal appeared at the Cliffs of Lommond. Demons from the Abyss are pouring out of it as we speak. It's time to move. I've informed the council of our intentions to mobilize. They have given their blessing and the forces they promised you. Whatever other Allies you've managed to gather, Now is the time.. ."   With that, You watch as Eammon pulls out a small copper wire and begins transmitting messages to each of your comrades.   "My Brother has already been informed. His forces are marching from the north. I hope they can make it in time."     It will be 2 days march to the cliffs from Mount Cashell. This is one of the last opportunities to attune to items or make any final preparations.   At the end of the first night: If they marched with Roaslind and the Faithful Dominion, They see them setting up tents and yurts fixing cooking fires and preparing to eat.   "Well then, we stopped a conflict between two countries and ended up still marching to war. This time for the whole world. "   Your rest comes to a close as the new dawn approaches overhead. You continue your march. You can see a large gathering of forces ahead of you as you approach the cliffs.

    The Battle

You come to the Cliffs and see across the field. swaths of demons and fiends pouring into this world from some sort of rift. They form ranks along side humanoids who seem to have allied themselves with the Chained Oblivion as acolytes and cultists. There are also a large number of Humanoids infected by the Abyssal Plague standing in rank and file.   Closer to you you take a pause as you inspect the forces you've gathered marshaled together. numbering a few thousand. People you've brought together as allies. You can see Guards from outlying towns, Mages and fighters from the Laminae in Tirasa, veterans and archers from the capital city, a strong force of clerics and paladins from the Faithful Dominion, some soldiers with unfamiliar uniforms and standards looking as if they came from another country, and a small force of about 200 Centaurs armed with bows. You recognize friends you've made along the way standing amongst the throngs of soldiers, archers, paladins and clerics to withhold the final assault on this world. Thengel, your ally from the Feywild is there with his trusty blink dog Narmo. Emrys and Storn Lead the platoon of Laminae spell casters. You look over and standing in rank among the Paladins you see your old companion Sir Gareth. A look of determination painted across his visage.   "Looks quite Hopeless" a familiar voice says from behind you. You turn around to see Ukko standing there. "Looks scary as heck!" Maleeka adds as she steps out from behind a throng of soldiers.   Rosalind walks up "It is.. but.. we're doing this... Together."   Eammon says "Not much choice at this juncture. It's either die defending our home, or do nothing and let them wash over this land. Seems like a simple choice." and he draws his rapier and gives it a flourish.   Rosalind says "I have been given command of this "army" By the Council. They have approved my battle plan and I hope you will be favorable to it as well. In short: They're coming out of that portal down there. I will command this army to hold off that tide for as long as we can. Given your group's special abilities, I think you lot should Push through the battle and get to that portal and find a way to close it. If you don't, We'll eventually be overrun. Take any of your allies with you as you need" (decide on which allies you want to use)   "Let me know when you're ready and I'll give the word"

(Large scale battle begins) On one side, the Demons, their grotesque forms looming on the horizon like twisted nightmares brought to life. Their eyes glowing with malevolence, and their bodies, forged in the black abyss itself, seemed impervious to any mortal weapon. On the other side, your army stands resolute, a united front comprised of knights in gleaming silver armor, archers with arrows notched and ready, paladins with radiant shields, and clerics with holy symbols ablaze with divine energy. As the sun dipped behind the smoky haze, the signal horn echoed across the battlefield, and the ground trembles beneath the combined weight of two mighty armies about to collide. The Demons charged first, their massive, horned leaders bellowing infernal incantations that rent the air. Fireballs erupted from their fingertips, arcing through the sky like meteor showers, setting the ground ablaze. The human archers, quick on their feet, let loose a storm of arrows that cut through the smog, finding their demonic targets with deadly precision.   The knights, mounted on powerful steeds, charge forward with lances lowered, their war cries drowned out by the eerie wails of the demons. Steel clashes againss abyssal flesh, sparks flying as swords meet horns and claws. The paladins, their armor aglow with divine light, form a shield wall, standing firm against the relentless onslaught of the demonic horde. Their radiant swords smote the demons with holy fury, their strikes burning through demonic flesh with a searing light.       As the party progresses through the field of battle, an event will happen Party moves 30 feet at a time.  Roll a d6 each time. On a 5-6, A group moves to attack the party. Use minion rule and fighting hordes rules   Every 90ft of movement Everyone must make a dexterity saving throw (DC 13) on a failure, players take 6d6 piercing damage (divided by the players who failed). On a success, They take no damage. Once past the battle, they will be free from this attack.   They can try and attack some units to try and weaken them.     As you pass it, The battlefield is a chaotic symphony of clashing steel, fiery magic, and resolute faith. The earth shakes with every clash, and the air is thick with the acrid scent of burning flesh. Still the battle rages on, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance.   (Alternate read)    You have all reached the portal out of which these demons have clawed their way out of existence. You can see a creature resembling a gigantic bulbous pustule just pulsing and jiggling in some sort of action meant to replicate breathing. drops of blood and bile cascade off its body and every area that the liquid touches becomes brown and polluted. The portal seems connected to its body...   The Avatar of Tharizdun stands proudly near the portal admiring the chaos unfolding behind you..   screams erupt from behind you as you hear The demons, with their otherworldly strength and dark sorcery, meet the unwavering courage and determination of humanity's finest. Each blow, each spell cast, is a testament to the indomitable spirit of the human warriors as they stood as a bulwark against the forces of darkness, fighting to protect their world from an encroaching nightmare.     If you defeat the Sibriex:   "You see The Sibriex begin to deflate like a lard filled balloon. the ground around it begins to brown and become sickly as it melts away to nothingness"       If you defeat the Avatar:   "Its lidless face betrays emotion for the first time since you encountered it. That emotion is fear. Its expression contorts into a visage of pain and torment. Pinholes of light begin appearing all over its body. A low rumble crescendoes as the light grows more and more intense until you are blinded and find yourselves...     It's night time. You're in a vast field surrounded by a mysterious stone circle. You recognize it as Cairn Tuam. You all come together in a circle of your own. The people around you - You don't know where you met them, what their names are, except this time you do. You get this overwhelming sense of DejaVu. This happened before. This undying devotion to each other emanates in your very core. Your memory of them is clear, you know that you grew together from fledgling heroes. Helping each other rise above any challenge you faced, ascending to the apex, the very pinnacle of your potential. And you know you reached this peak thru the help of the people around you. You love these people. They are a sort of found family, your covenant sealed through adversity and perserverance. You would do anything for this group of individuals... Though you don't think you have met them before this instant. No you have met them. You've all witnessed this scene before. In a long forgotten Dream, but this time it is happening before your eyes. You all embrace and lock arms to shoulders and look up. Now, as before, You see stars, planets, whole galaxies wheeling around over your heads in the same dizzying spectacle. You feel insignificant before the grandeur before your eyes. The blackness envelopes you. Just as it did before. The field is gone. You are floating weightless.. swimming In the black vastness you were just gazing at. You tighten your grip on your companions for fear you will drift off and be lost to cosmic infinity.   You return once more. To that demi-plane of Imprisonment. You see the Chained oblivion. Unlike your dream, he is still bound in his shackles. From neck to ankle. You feel as though your actions changed this event. The things you did kept his chains from breaking.   You realize all too late that he is not completely bound. One of his shackles has been broken. one that used to hold his right hand. He reaches out with a massive and now free hand and swipes at you.   DC20 Dexterity save. On a failed save take 10d12 damage or half as much on a success.    Your hold on your party is broken as some of you go hurtling through th black emptiness.    You hear a cacophonous laughter as you did in your dream but this time it is accompanied by a word   "Still....Weak"   "Revenge" "Death" "Soon"   A blinding light fills the space as you feel warm hands grip your shoulders and pull you with superhuman strength up and out of that place and into a place of warmth, and peace. An endless wheat field sitting on an ocean that stretches beyond your vision.   As you get your bearings you can see the people who pulled you out of that place. Standing before you are beings beyond the scope of mortal kind. Though they are familiar to some of you..   You can see an angelic figure with wings outstretched giving a proud smile to you all.   A red haired woman with a dress made of ivy and vines, clothed in the very forest itself. .   Next to them is a tall gaunt Devil dressed in red finery, the bottom of which is replaced by goat's feet. He leers at the two goody goodies next to him but gives a wink and finger guns.   Behind them in the distance, stands an impossibly tall, Muscle bound, bearded warrior. His face hardened into a frown. But not in anger. Like a stern but proud father. And beside him stands a female elf cold in demeanor and in spirit. Her gaze pierces you like a winter wind. Most of you shudder at their appearance. a select few of you feel comfort.   Still beyond them up on a willow darkened hill, There stands a shape covered in a black shroud. You think it might be feminine, but you can't be sure. They are playing a viol, though you can't hear the music its making. You will though... Someday.   Far above the scene a bright yellow sun is shining down warming your faces.     The Celestial speaks: Greetings Adventurers. And well done. My name is Sireen. Emissary of The Dawnfather. Tharizdun remains imprisoned thanks to your efforts. And there he will remain. We will double our efforts to fully restrain him once more. You saw that with just a single hand free he was able to transfer his life essence to Avatars on the material plane. We can not ensure this won't happen again. But we will do our best to nullify his influence on your world. The gods themselves will monitor and keep him in check. And with your group defeating the Avatars and destroying his relics, He will probably think twice about sending them out again in the first place. What with our champions defending the material plane.   Dispater Speaks: " PFffft. Good. I'm gonna lose my lunch. Look babes. You lot did a Hell of a job. Bravos and Kudos all around. These Abyssal types are just brutish and disgusting but you handled them with ease. how I'd love to get you all down to my layer of The Nine Hells. You would live like kings and queens while you sate your appetite for bloodshed beating back Demons for all eternity. It would be a delicious bloodbath. Any takers? I'm sure one of you will change your mind. Then you'll come home with me. Until then... It hurts to stand here."   And you see him snap his fingers as he disappears with a fiery burst    After a moment you realize there is a familiar half elven Bard standing next to this group of otherworldly beings.   "From robbing merchants, assaulting prison guards to saving the world. Well done. I should probably write a song about you!   Seriously though. Thank you. You saved my country, You've saved everything. You stopped a god Together! together...   You lot have that special spark I've never been able to find with any group of adventurers I joined up with. I got so sick of people losing their fire for questing that I set off on my own. I had my fun, explored the world, escaped danger, and procured a ridiculous amount of wealth and infamy along the way. But for all that I wish I had an ounce of what your group has. I would give anything to experience that. So thank you for having me along for your adventures and your great war. You've inspired me to postpone my retirement. I'm going questing!. I'm gonna form an adventuring party of my own. And I know EXACTLY who my first recruit is gonna be. If she's willing...."
  He turns to Tensi.
"Do you know where I can find her?"
"then that's where I'll start. And then from there, we'll find other willing recruits. Then we're Gonna explore what's out there. And beyond that! I leave this world to your care. Don't muck it up or I will come back and harm you. What you all have is special. Hold onto it for as long as possible. And keep going. Your adventures are not done yet. Remember: The heart of an adventurer is beckoned beyond by lands unseen and tales untold. Don't worry though. I'm always just a stones throw away..."   And he tosses a sending stone to Tensi.   "My country, our world is in good hands with you lot. take care of it, and each other."
He goes in for a hug to each of you.    With That Eammon takes out his lute and begins walking off into the fields of Elysium while singing a song of parting.
