Session 78: When Last We Met 4/21/24

General Summary

When last we met, the party came face to face with the last of the Volim clan who, under the protection of an Iron Golem, engaged the party in combat. A hard battle was fought. Most players taking significant damage in the fray. They eventually come out on top. A magic user was put down by Oorlog after taking significant magical damage. Each of the enforcers were taken down one by one by various members of the party and Sisters of Salvation. And the Iron Golem was finally pierced through its metal hide by two of Celeste's magic arrows. Once the dust settles, the party quickly search the remainder of this lower floor. 
Mistral bursts into a kitchen area and finds a hulking mammoth of a man who immediately reacts hostile to Mistral before he talks him down. He informs the cook that his employment is at an end but promises a new job for him at their town of Ailec who is in need of a chef/butcher. The cook, calling himself Gerard, takes them up on their offer... especially when they promise to pay the 100gp for his travel expenses. He exits the kitchen with the rest of the staff to make for Auldsod. 
With that, the party has dealt the final death knell to the crime syndicate known as the Volim Clan. What will be their next move? Will they stick around to handle the geopolitics of a reformed slave state? Will they return to Auldsod, their mission now essentially completed? We will find out next time!
