Session 76: When Last we met 4/7/24

General Summary

When last we met, the party was in a pitched battle with overseers of the Troigulnik mine. Through well placed attacks, they made short work of Dalek Bloodbane and the Stone Golem that was hindering them. They find one of the enforcers still caught up in Tensi's entangle spell. They free him under the condition that he help them and be straightforward with them. He agrees and after a careful back and forth involving the Zone of Truth, This enforcer, named Zamuel agrees to help the party and give them any information they need. They ask where the last of the Volim clan are held up. Zamuel tells them of a castle high in the mountains that serves as their stronghold, though he doesn't know its exact location. 
He asserts that a location as remote as that will no doubt have wagons delivering goods to an from the castle. Wagons that leave tracks... that can be followed. The party take the time to free the rest of the captives in the mine and examine the strange items found on the overseer of the mine Dalek Bloodbane. Dima makes off with some of his gold and discards a seemingly useless piece of paper. Having cast detect magic however, Isolde sees this paper glowing with a magical aura. after Isolde takes psychic damage trying to read this small pamphlet, Vandread proceeds to identify that and the Psychic-attuned hammer Dalek was using against them.   
He learns that this is a manual of Golems. Containing the schematics and the magic to create one of these creatures for their own. Though it will take a considerable amount of Coin and Time. The party puts their newfound items away and Proceeds to exit the mine. With Zamuel in tow, Celeste leads the party 6 days north along the mountain passes, looking for signs of life that could give them a clue of where to search. On the sixth day, she spots wagon tracks freshly left in the snow leading upwards. The party assumes this is their best bet and follow the tracks for another day before finally seeing definitive trail markers pointing them in the right direction. 
They come along the road to a constructed rope bridge spanning a chasm with a 60-foot drop off. Celeste spots someone waiting in hiding on the other side of the bridge, clearly with ill intentions. Mistral takes Tensi across the chasm using his flying abilities. once in range, the unknown assailant fires a crossbow bolt at the clear target, followed by others from previously hidden foes. One of the bolts finds their mark breaking Mistral's concentration and sending Tensi plummeting to the ground below. 
As battle ensues, Tensi safely wild shapes into a hawk and rights herself back on the cliffside to everyone's relief. Meanwhile the rest of the party engages the now three enforcers who made themselves known along with the original attacker. One of them falls to Vandread's spear. The other two are trading projectiles with the rest of the party. And that's where we'll pick up next time!

100 platinum pieces - Found on the body of Dalek Bloodbane (Taken by Dima)
Manual of Golems - Found on the body of Dalek Bloodbane. He seemed to be the mastermind behind the creation of the other golems that hindered the party previously. 
Psychic attuned hammer - Found on Dalek Bloodbane. This hammer seems to only be "Magical" to someone gifted with PSionic powers who can unlock the full power of the weapon. The plan is to sell it to Dainarv. 
22 lbs of Silver - Found by the party on their way out of the mine. Taken by Vandread's Steel defender.

Dalek Bloodbane - Overseer of the Troigulnik slave mine. Felled by an arrow through the throat by Celeste. The mystery of creating Golems seems to die with him. 
Zamuel - Former enforcer of the Volim clan turned coat and helped the party in exchange for starting a new life outside of crime and protecting their village of Ailec.

Notes

24th of Gwydion 

• Party fought on and defeated the second Golem
• Party defeated Dalek Bloodbane
• Convinced Zamuel to aid them 
• Freed the prisoners and fled the mine in search of this Castle. 
• Travels along the foothills of the mountain to try and find this castle

30th of Gwydion

• Party finally finds tracks and signs of life and follows them deeper up the mountain

31st of Gwydion

• Party reaches a rope bridge and is attacked by enforcers
