Session 58: When Last We Met 11/12/23

General Summary

When last we met, the party were on the field of battle preparing to make war against Demons. They surveyed the forces gathered for their side and the side of darkness and after a quick battle strategy session with Rosalind, They decide to push past the skirmish and engage the Avatar directly. Failure to do so would keep the portal open for longer and their chances of holding back the endless tide of demons becomes slimmer. 
The party makes their way past the throng of fighters and engages with The Avatar of Tharizdun as well as The demon known as a Sibriex who created a portal out of the Abyss. Blows are exchanged as the creature's sickening fluids are thrown across the battlefield and The Avatar attacks the players' bodies and minds. Tensi, Having been turned into a T-Rex by Ukko engages the Avatar directly while spells are flung mostly at a distance toward the Sibriex and the Avatar. 
Romaia unleashes the cosmic horror as she plunges both creatures into the Hunger of Hadar. Wherein the Sibriex ultimately meets its end to whatever madness dwells within that realm. Tensi, in one last ditch effort, attacks the Avatar head on inside the void and delivers a decisive blow to its midsection which breaks its body and causes an intense explosion leaving the players reliving the events from the fateful dream that brought them all together. Except it is happening in reality. 
They meet The chained oblivion in person, Still bound thanks to the efforts of the party. But with one free hand, smashes into the players and sends some of them hurtling through the void of space they found themselves in. They are rescued by unseen forces as hands grab them in their various states of being and pull them up and out of that darkness into a place of Peace and light. 
And that's where we'll pick up next time!
