Session 55: When Last We Met 10/15/23

General Summary

When last we met, The party lay mostly bleeding out after their encounter with the second Avatar of Tharizdun. The remaining party members quickly spring into action healing their downed compatriots. Once everyone is back on their feet. Eammon laments his role in aiding in their downfall. Apologies are exchanged and they move on to the next task... Burning the contamination within. They find the prison guard they knocked out in a much better head state. He explains that the remembers something descending on the prison and pandemonium breaking loose. But his memory only clouds the being in a black ooze. 
With the fire contained within, The prison guard locks the doors intent never to return. From there the party Teleports to the village of Shieldhearth to  meet up with the Brother of Rosalind McGregor. After a mishap they arrive nearby and make their way on foot to the sleepy little hamlet. They ask around at the local tavern and after some palm greasing, learn of the location of Kevyn McGregor. In a small abbey just outside of town. The party bed down for the night and decide to head there in the morning. 
The following day, the party resupplies on potions and makes their way out of the village. After a short walk they find a small abbey with attached living quarters. They inquire at the small church and find Kevyn at prayer. They exchange pleasantries and information. Eammon sends a message to Lady Rosalind letting her know that her brother was safe. Upon Kevyn's suggestion, they decide to summon a demon and perhaps interrogate it as to the location of the final Avatar. They teleport to Tirasa to make preparations to make this happen. 
The party resupplies at the magic shops in town (Including a commissioned Dagger for Mistral) and prepare to head to the school to talk to Sebastian and others about Summoning a demon. And that's where we'll pick up next time!
