Session 54: When Last We Met - 10.8.23

General Summary

When last we met, the party had just teleported to a region known as Elder Peak. Their quarry, The second Avatar of Tharizdun was seen entering Ravenshead Peitentiary. The party makes their way east toward the prison and find it mostly abandoned. Tensi wildshapes into a Raven and does a cursory pass over the prison itslef and confirms no signs of life. With this knowledge, they enter the prison and find literal hell on earth. Bodies, rubble, blood, Carnage everywhere. Mistral shifts into his gaseous form and does reconaissance inside the prison. Finding mutliple plague Demons as well as eventually, The second avatar. It appears to be able to see Mistral and makes a move to attack but misses. 
Mistral returns to the party and relays all he's seen. They then systematically begin ridding mutliple cell blocks of the infected undead. They eventually fight their way to the basement level where as suspected, The Avatar awaits them. Battle begins and both sides exchange heavy blows to one another's health. Midway through the battle, Eammon feels a pain in his head as The avatar does something to affect him. He, very reluctantly, under compulsion casts firestorm on his allies dealing significant damage.. In response, Celeste casts a Silence spell preventing that from happening again. 
The battle rages on and damage is dealt out on both sides. Eventually Isolde deals the killing bow with her magic missile. Unfortunately, The Avatar's celestial death throes in so confined a space send out a shockwave that leaves most of the party bleeding out. And that's where we'll pick up next time!

Avatar 2 of 3 is destroyed! One remains to be found.
