Session 53: When Last We met - 10/1/23

General Summary

When last we met, the party continued the first steps of rebuilding their town of Ailec. This part involved them hiring on a Steward to see to the care of their new manor as well as the overseeing of work on the town. They interview a handful of applicants, but none seem super qualified save for one. A gentleman named Vasil approached and seemed to be the best fit. After some questions and some beer, They hire him on as their Steward. His only caveats were his pay of 2gp per day as well as a guaranteed day off once per month. The party finds this agreeable and he begins right away. After that, the party decides it's time to hunt down these Avatars Starting with the one in the Sylvaneth forest. 
They move west and after a few days' travel with Celeste's expertise, are guided right to its location. They find it nestled in an open glade with two hellhounds at its feet. The party releases the first salvos and the battle begins. The party chip away at a signifcant portion of its health before it envelopes part of the party inside a magical darkness,wherein it begins to make attacks with it's spear and antlers. 
Eventually a killing blow is dealt by one of Romaia's Eldritch blasts. During the creature's death throes, Its body explodes in a gout of radiant fire and light. dealing significant damage to the party in the process. Breathing a sigh of relief, the party patches themselves up and takes a long rest within their Instant Fortress. 
They awaken the next day and Teleport as close as they can to Ravenshead penitentiary. The Location of the Second Avatar of Tharizdun. And that's where we'll pick up next time!

Vasil Bogdan - A human gentleman who emerged as the best candidate for Steward. Originally from Volgot but spent most of his life in Norheim serving as Steward to the King Sólbjørn.

Avatar of Tharizdun - first of three met it's fiery end in the Sylvaneth Forest.

• Will head to the Prison next session
