Session 29: When Last We Met - 4/3/23
General Summary
When last we met, the party re-emerged outside of the Sanctum of Mordenkainen, They then proceeded to Teleport to the town of Shieldhearth, where they left their mounts. They arrive to find the town in a raucous party atmosphere. They have arrived back on civilization during New Year's Eve of all days. The party takes refuge inside of Eloise's Inn and take a celebratory drink or two to loosen up. The drink in Shieldhearth is surprisingly strong as the party finds themselves feeling, quite good! With their halfling companion Maleeka showering most of the party with New Year's Kisses. They take their rest and resume their journey in a brand new day in a brand new year!
They head southward back toward's Auldosod. At the border, they are stopped by military members from the Elder Isle who seem to be restricting travel between the two countries. After a bit of persuasion from Celeste and Tensi, The guards reluctantly let them pass.
They take their 5 and 1/2 day ride back to Tirasa with Mistral and Romaia seeming to see someone or something following them on their path.
Finally they make it back to the safety and refuge of Tirasa, Where they decide to head to the Abraxios Academy to identify the strange looking tomes acquired within the Archives. There they meet Ukko who brings them back into the School to meet with Calder. They plop the 5 tomes onto his desk and He, Ukko, and Maleeka take about 4 hours of careful study to identify each of these codices.
Realizing they have quite a find on their hands, they decide to use one book to square their debt to Dainarv and plans to possibly donate the rest to the school afterwards.
The party heads to Dainarv and show's him the Atlas of Endless Horizons, to which he is greatly pleased. Given this item is of a greater rarity than what was owed to him, the party tries to convince him to either throw in some coin or pass along one of his own magic items to even out the deal. He agrees and gives them a rod of Absorption to sweeten the pot.
They make the exchange and give Mistral back his fingernail he had on him to scry on the party. From there the party seeks to return to the Abraxios Academy to seek information on the final Artifact of Tharizdun. And that's where we'll pick up next time!

Eloise - Proprietor of the Inn that bears her name. Gave the party shelter for New Year's Eve and gave them some breakfast the following day.
Mysterious Figures - Spotted by Mistral and Romaia in their travels. Seemed to be following the party at a safe distance to avoid detection.
Ukko - The Daddy Bear Dwarf found the party back at the Abraxios Academy and got them in to see Calder right away.
Calder - Keeper of Lore for the Abraxios Academy. Helped identify the magic books. Does he have information on the third artifact? Dainarv - Tiefling Proprietor of the oddities shop. The party settled their debt with him and got a Rod of Absorption out of it.
