Session 109: When Last We Met 12/29
General Summary
When last we met, The party had found the lair of a hag coven. Not caring to hear them out or make any sort of bargains, They go for the attack immediately. The first Hag is put down quickly by spells along with Bow shots from Celeste. It drops its disguise revealing it's true form as it dies.
After that the other two members of this Coven reveal themselves. First the massive Annis hag casts circle of death on the party. They mostly succeed on their saving throws and suffer minimal damage.
The third hag reveals herself and Romaia recognizes the form of the hag that was attacking Flint in his sleep the previous night. She waves her arms and suddenly multiple skeletal figures rise out of the murky water surrounding the Hag's Lair, they proceed to attack the party.
The party continues to whittle away at the health of these witches and their undead protectors. several instances of Eldritch Blast cast by Mistral and Romaia take out most of the skeletons. Vandread deals the killing blow on the Annis Hag who falls to several hits from his Trident. Vandread also manages to cast Web on the area surrounding the last Hag who becomes ensnared in it. Several spells are launched at the final Hag. Several spells chip away at her health until Romaia attempts to cast Power Word Kill but is unfortunately counter spelled by the Night Hag.
The night hag then tries to resurrect her coven sister, but it is counterspelled Mistral.
Mistral casts Finger of Death on the Night Hag. She once again tries to counter spell it but fails this time and the spell kills her earthly form before she rises up as a zombie under the control of Mistral. Not wanting this kind of creature under his command, he orders it to self immolate. It attempts to but is still trapped in the Web spell.
Vandread then cuts the webbing around her and wraps her up in it like a spider's meal. The party then proceed to search the Hags and their hut for any treasure or magical trinkets, Coming away with Quite a few strange items!
They then torch the hag's hideout with the bodies of the three hags inside of it, Returning to their patrol on the Hagswood Road.
