Session 102: When Last We Met 11/10/24

General Summary

When last we met, The party had set off in search of a Solar. They made it to the foothills of a holy mountain called Mount Kailash, At the top of which lay a Solar by the name of Aziraphal. They began their ascent which was relatively easy at first then grew more challenging as they rose in elevation.
The party persevered however and made it to the summit, upon which a great fortress lay. They enter this unguarded, un-gated fortress and Mistral feels himself pulled away to somewhere deep in the recesses of his mind. There he finds shadowy figures convincing him not to allow the Book to be destroyed.
Upon his return to his own faculties he alludes as such and says he will not set foot inside the palace of Aziraphal. At this, Vandread takes matters into his own hands, he plans a strategy with their companion ukko to Polymorph him into a small animal that they can take with them into the palace. He agrees and they spring their trap, Turning Mistral into a small frog and proceeding inside the palace.
There they meet this gargantuan celestial dragon who questions their motives for coming here. Upon hearing their plight, the dragon decides to let the party in to see Aziraphal, knowing full well his ability to search out a lie and smite an evil-doer.
They proceed into the palace hall and are greeted by this stunningly awe-inspiring being of purity and light. This is the Solar Aziraphal. They greet the party and asks if they be friend or foe. As the party relays what their mission is, Aziraphal says that they must be put through a trial before they earn their favor/grace. They ask the party if they agree to be put through a crucible or sorts and they agree. With that, Aziraphal tosses their holy sword up into the air and upon its stabbing into the ground, they are transported to the abyss. A place where so many of the foes they fought before once came. There they did battle with wave after wave of Demons until finally, they emerged victorious. If not a bit battered from the confrontation.
They return to the palace of Aziraphal, ready to receive their reward. However, Mistral realizes upon their arrival, That his book of Vile darkness is gone. Taken, but how and by whom.

• Bargains with a celestial dragon guarding the palance
• The party encounter Aziraphal and undergo his trial
• Party defeats hordes of Demons and returns to Elsium
• Mistral has lost the Book of Vile Darkness
