Session 100: When Last We Met 10/27/24

General Summary

When last we met, The party had an unexpected second run-in with a Mummy Lord they last battled in the Country of Sunwilde. This creature emerged near Mistral and proceeded to attack the party who were separated for the day.
The party instantly got into gear and destroyed the Mummy once again, but not before it cursed Mistral with Mummy Rot. His health was low and would not raise up for as long as he remained cursed. After the Mummy's defeat, the task set to figuring out where this thing came from and keep it from returning and to get Mistral cured of his curse.
The latter is accomplished first as Caoimhe is called in to try and administer a greater restoration spell on Mistral. He says he can do it but does not possess the material component, Diamond dust of a certain value. Celeste offers up one of her diamonds to Caoimhe and he proceeds to cast the spell, administering the diamond dust into Mistral's mouth where it is consumed and the spell takes hold, Relieving Mistral of this horrid curse.
From there, Vandread deduces that something that they took, something in their inventory must have drawn the mummy back to them. He has the entire party pour out their inventories and inspects them, looking for a clue. He finds them when he examines the canopic jars Celeste took from his tomb. A quick reference by Mistral in his book of Vile darkness revealed that The heart contained in those Jars allows a Mummy Lord to return at full strength after being destroyed as long as it remained in tact.
Mistral, knowing what must be done, takes the jars and smashes them and burns the organs to ash in the backyard firepit. With both of those problems taken care of, the party take their rest inside Maplevale.
The following morning, The party decide it is time to call upon their ally Ukko. Rather than going to him, Vandread casts skywrite summoning him in the hopes he sees it and will come to them. Luckily Ukko happened to be outside and looked up at the correct time as a few hours later he arrives outside the manor with the goblin creature Zwai in tow. A lovely reunion happens where in both groups catch one another up on what they've been up to since last they met.
Ukko asks the party what they need and they explain they need use of Plane shift to get them to Elysium. He agrees but reminds the party he will need money to purchase the material component, a forked metal rod attuned to Elysium. The party agrees and easily parts with the 250gp and Ukko leaves to acquire the rod.
He returns the following day and the party gather round him once they are ready. He casts the spell and the party are instantly flung into this brilliant white void where they float along. Ukko instructs them that they will need to maneuver themselves mentally to get to their destination. After a concerted effort, Each member of the party makes it to this planar gateway that brings them to the Blessed realm of Elysium.
After being enraptured by its pure beauty and endless peace, Celeste takes the helm and leads the party along as best she can, keeping the party on a straight trajectory as she heads toward any celestials she can find.
They eventually come to a small pool where they find an armored humanoid creature sitting nearby whistling a tune. After studying the fellow for a few minutes, The party deem him to not be a threat and approach. They introduce themselves and he greets them warmly. The party tell him they are looking for a Solar and he says he might be able to bring them to a place where they can find one. Or at least information on where to find one.
In exchange he asks one simple thing. Break up the monotony of eternal peace and Let him feel the thrill of battle one more time.
And that's where we'll pick up next time.

• Ukko leaves to acquire materials needed for the Plane Shift Spell

30th of Arawn

• Ukko returns to the manor and gathers up the party
• Party Plane shits to Elysium
• Finds Sir Eric the Allegiant and accept his challenge to battle

It is eternally sunset in Elysium so there is no day/night. But back in Auldsod it is early afternoon.
