You stand in the dimly lit cellar of The Penitent Scholar tavern. Seated across from you is Corbin, the gentleman who approached you the night before. And sitting at his right is a female human dressed in full plate armor. A similar robe to Corbin's is draped around her form. She is red of hair and fair of skin.   "Welcome. Corbin says you have information for me?"   "If what you are saying is true, things are about to get much worse for all of us... we need to strategize. Send word out to our soldiers and paladins. In the mean time, if you could find some first hand accounts of this thing, Perhaps we can use it to galvanize local leadership into putting this petty war of attrition aside and focus on a real problem in the country. We must also send word to other posts about this growing threat. If you could assist with that, we would be greatly appreciated. My brother is stationed in the Elder Isle and with the current climate we haven't been able to reach him. Do you think you can pass word to him? He's stationed with a branch of the faithful at an abbey outside of Shieldhearth. The mountains surrounding that area are fraught with danger and I worry for him"   Perhaps it has been spotted in one of the villages or towns nearby?"   On the way out of the town -   "Do you have Juice" encounter A vampire child named Stephen will walk up to the party at night and ask if they have Juice. He is extra sweet and very cute. Detect Good an evil reveals Stephen is undead. ::Followed By:: Party will be attacked by 2 Assassins on the outskirts of town. Investigating their bodies will reveal they were hired by Don Alton.   Once they are dead, Stephen will appear once again and drag their bodies to a nearby alley and proclaim "JUICE!"   If passing by Melduinn on their way north - Initiate Melduinn encounter
Traveling to Shieldhearth   ((it is 170 Miles to reach the border of the country. followed by another 30 miles to Shieldhearth. 90 miles to Highborn Forest This will take 7 days on foot or 5 days on horseback))   Encounters along the way -   51 - You find an old hut with a dead hermit still in his bed. His mastiff - Grub - needs a new owner (Grub is inscribed on his collar)   55 - They find a ritual sacrifice of a small child - Battle Party vs. 1d6 Manes and 1d4 Cultists   32 - A small human girl in a red cloak offers to sell the party a Direwolf pelt or the deed to her grandmother's cabin in (One of the forests) for 500gp   A night attack by 3 wraiths within the battle grove (They focus their attacks on Caer and Stronghorn - the two goodest characters.)
Melduinn Encounter   The party arrives at a picturesque rural farming community. Everyone is happily tending crops and gathering harvests. Children play games in the open fields. Just the most wholesome looking scene you could imagine.   One of the farmers notices your party "Hullo there! So nice to meet you!! Won't you come and stay a while?"   The party can then be brought into the village and showered with praise. They can meet Earl Sommerset and be offered to stay the night. If they do, they will be dropped into a subterranean cavern where they must fight their way out.   If the group attempts to flee or refuses their hospitality, They will be attacked along the road by 2 Cultists and 2 Low level demons further down the road.
Werewolf Encounter. A human male dressed in common clothes will approach the party and offer to pay them for their services.   He reveals he is a Werewolf. He asks the party to lock him up in his basement the following night so he can save himself from harming anyone.   The party will have to succeed 3 out of 4 DC15 Dexterity Checks to make sure he is secured in his chamber. Getting less than this will result in the party having to kill the Werewolf.
