The Meteor Gems is a vyllkard color show team of dancers. Across some periods, they've delivered shows with a large enough commercial roster and organizational pattern to work in rounds of two. Its a fairly crucial team to the the spin-off story of Without A Navigator, where the protagonist Qheww participates as one of their dancers. The team becomes modestly wrapped up in a serial killer crime incident, where they believe two of their members have been taken by a killer marked in the news as The Rainbow Killer
A Few Notable Members
As with any team, the membership and roster rotates along a cycle of recruits, a few retires, and some that grow too big or die of other incidents. Still here are a few potential names or former members...
Captain Skuasi: Captain of the team. She's an assertive harpy, but doesn't always perform herself, rather takes charge more in the back and management. She's red, with cream & caramel undertones and highlights. She has a husky voice, and sometimes commanding attitude, but can be compassionate and agreeable in the right moments. Most with longer experience believe she needs to be "read" properly, before engaging in conversation.
Qheww: A yellow-gold harpy with orange-red dusk highlights, and sharp emerald eyes. She is a clever and curious harpy, and gets involved within the case of The Rainbow Killer when it begins to truly get at her nerves. In the process, she became a bit romantically entangles with one of the authorized investigators, agent Kreev. She tends to get some exercise in, but will risk sweets unless a loss of a dancer was close to remind her of the potential layoffs of a growing performer.
Crilli: A red harpy with a trace of yellow highlights. She's on the heavier side, with unfortunate genetics favoring weight more in the gut than the usual 'drumsticks-first' most harpies go through. Yet she's a veteran that's established cravings, endangering her near future career. She favors singing and being at the center of the stage attention while she still has the chance. Qheww considers her a good friend, and sometimes gets the arrangements to be a backup vocalist that performs close by.
Zibi: A complexly colorful harpy, with tropical green base plumage, a sharp red belly/neck area, and bright yellow wing tips, with a tail playing in the mixed variety of it all. She's playful and humble, though she is believed to be one of the higher audience rated among the team. She's sometimes pushed to wear less to show for more of her colors, but shy to do so around her own team, feeling its both awkward and 'competitive' around other harpies. Zibi is just as interested in alien cultures as much as she believes some of them are curious of her own, and will sometimes try to impress more alien-dense crowds, which inspires some gossip behind her back. She's also one of the healthiest eaters of the team by merit of merely loving fruit and salads more, though the captain sometimes tries to tempt her after feeling 'drained' of her unpredictable personality.
Sqraccith: A lesser mentioned blue harpy that smokes, noted for bringing in large tips from raptors that were fond of her large posterior, though her general form was said to be getting chubby. She was a very easy choice one hungry ryclin took to eat up, and became the first serial-swallower victim on the team. An additional unnamed brown secondary singer went to fetch her, and was consumed next, both marked a tragedy that forced a deeper investigation from a few police forces.
Rhayen: A harpy of gradient pink shades, dark beak, and soft blue prime feathers. She was initially shy as a rookie, and once danced in heavier skirt layers. Her raving affections for free sweets changed her, with easy sugar highs and hyper outbursts, and the attire got lighter the fatter her haunches got. Her dynamic switch has left her sometimes tired or overly-hyper on mood swings, and expressing strange theories of fate and future jobs, and a poor filter for her thoughts. Qheww considers her 'the crazy friend' of her fellow harpies, and a loose cannon to speak to under caffeine influences. Despite her shy origins, she's become one of the more boastful and proud among the group, sometimes clashing with Zibi's ideals.
