Tekly

An avian native to Kyberus. Often tinted in colors not unlike a mango, with red-green-yellow vibrant tropical hues. They have mid-small ratty tails, about six-inch long legs with tiny claws, and pointed long beaks. Their wings are long and leathery with an arced curve, made more for boosting up to their desired height and then gliding, and have tiny two-fingered hooks for scaling trees. They have weak vision, mostly seeing special colors for finding their ideal nectar off colorful fruit and seeds.   Tekly are found frequently in the plentiful rainforests of Kyberus. They tend to have habits of scaling and gliding between trees. They simply seek nectar, juice, occasional seeds, and mates. Their mid-high elevation and promiscuity has made them pervasive across many regions, and well adapted to their land, but they have a short lifespan. Contrary to some avian theory, they have crude and limited vocals, often sounding like 'choked horns' or croaking noises. Ryclin carelessly consume them when convinient, but rarely go on a deliberate hunt for them. Some have given them the nickname of 'sky rats' for their strange appearance and lack of inspiring bird features. Initial vahamin settlers even once named them Kyberian Bats, though this has largely fallen out of favor for numerous logistics, especially once it was observed they lay eggs.   While the species has been noted as prominent, and even found invading other environments, they usually don't last. Often their specialized diet and towering agriculture needs aren't met in other places. However they've strangely adapted well to Hwayno, and seem to make nests between the higher reaches of industrial facilities akin to their appearances on urban places on Kyberus.
