Limrus Tear

Limrus tear is a natural element formed from a living Jisuki. At times they will experiance a sharp or emotional memory, or have a high radiance of mana. They will then find it seeping out as a tear, or may even leak it out while genuinely crying. This tear will crystalize, and retain a strong presence of the living memory in a portal-like expanse of how they felt, or seen themselves in the moment. However one strange detail, especially from vixens, is they cannot retain their inner illusions in this vision, and will be revealed as a jisuki. In some conditions this can be used to convict them of mischief and crimes, while in others it shows their accomplishments.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Leaves eyes as a fluid tear, but rapidly turns into a solidified crystal. Then remains smooth, and glossy, almost like a pearl or glass bead. Sturdy material, able to withstand high pressures, and unchange in intense heat and cold. Can be disintegrated under sustained energy blasts, or lava. Easy to preserve and transport as a solid, and often not much bigger than a pea. Massaging or conducting mana off of it will allow those around it to peer into the visions it was created from. To avoid it from being used or materializing while preserving the memory, it should be captured fresh into roughly sub-boiling water, but like oil will keep itself a bit separate, and crystalize later upon cooling to around 60 celsius.

History & Usage

Cultural Significance and Usage

Jisuki tend to cling onto them, and may even make them into jewels or necklaces, especially if they're in a place of high honor. Often when one passes away, their tomb, coffin, or a bust in their ancestral home will be littered with their Limrus Tears for the memories and things they've done and experiences. However outside of their domestic culture, law forces may seek these out for trials, convictions, or even evidence for others close to the situation. Its often a layered offense on a detained jisuki if the law feels they're holding out on hidden tears with evidence.

Distribution

Trade & Market

Its often seen as a dishonor for jisuki to sell off, or trade Limsus tears whether its from themselves, or others. However they still make it out to the market, either from shameless selling, theft, or even the occasion where the jisuki missed their own tear forming and someone else finding it. They're considered expensive, high value items to collect, study, or even show off as a magic jewel that can be inserted to something else. A full necklace or ornate piece a jisuki actually crafted from a string of memories is far more prized, and expensive, able to show entire pages of their life but far less easy to obtain because of it. However in some awkward cases, an alien being found owning one leads to accusations of them being the jisuki in disguise.
