Kyois (kai-was)
The Kyoisian people are a kangaroo-like marsupial from Kyodia. They existed for a few millennia undisturbed, but often struggling within their world. Kyodia's many venomous species and toxins in a mostly arid climate, have produced the need to be medical survivalists. Still in spite of their dangers, they've mostly fostered a sense of affinity for the world itself, and indoctrinate it into a wide but loose faith of animism that they will even apply onto some other planets if they visit. However from trade concepts, they were quickly descended on by larger and more manipulative forces. A joint effort of the Asuan LCC & Therva ryclins have sparred with Jraki Kvot with both aiming to push over and claim turf over the Kyois and their homeworld. On the CDAM system, they are often classified as a Token species.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Pointy ears, long narrow and sleek snouts. They're covered in fur that often varies between blonde, tan, brown, red, and gray or silvery shades. Cheek bones, finer ear details, and precise color markings often denote an ethnic divide, but most colors themselves will cross over across a planetary basis by recent years. They walk upright on two powerful legs, with the ability to hop, and a tail that's often balanced properly for it. However their tail is precisely balanced for low and quick powerful hops, and must be working for this motion. Most have adapted to simply walking, though properly running is a bit difficult and clumsy for them over low and quick fleeting hops. Their feet have four tight claws, and their hands similar with three fingers and a thumb, making them mildly slower than average at things like computer keys. Their fingers are still long and dexterous, and have gripping pads on the hand of each digit that assist climbing the steep rocky cliffs across Kyodia. They tend to stand often mature between 1.45m-1.7m average. Males are on the bigger end of the spectrum, often stockier with larger arms and shoulder muscles. Females are more often a little smaller with bigger hips, and pouches for holding and nursing newborns, and often move and hop a little more swift, but climb more poorly.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Very keen on nuts and fruits. They adore sweets, mostly of a natural kind, but have adopted well to consume a lot of bitter meals and medicines as well. They also often recreationally chew grass akin to gum, but hardly ever swallow nor eat it, and many develop this habit from making herbal paste for numerous remedies. Tea and honeyed alcohol are both staples of drinks, and they have a large affinity for tart juices as well. They will eat meat, but it makes up a very small part of their diet with some only ever actually eating eggs, and roasted insects. Few will eat processed foods and dairy is a very rare 'treasure' that occasionally upsets their stomachs, and their more grain based snack ideas like cookies are often very unsweet and bitter or more salty. They are often very healthy and eat slowly in smaller amounts, with the worst usual culprit for poor health coming from few cases of over-drinking juice. Of course, in poorer treatment, or seldom space travels they may have much different options and habits.

Uses, Products & Exploitation
Exploitation hit from nearly two sides at once, with JK and the LCC with various support both came down to reap chemical compounds and oils from the planet. The kyois were pushed around and enslaved to do the job, losing land, and being detained and put into work as 'experts' that knew where and how to get certain valued resources. However over time they have had some things loosen up. When the LCC started losing ground, they revamped their system to allow most kyois to be 'free' but working at very low wages, but set out calls that they were the better option and trying to turn rebel favor more concentrated against the JK forces. However its been a long 3-way battle that often leaves the kyois either lurking in quiet villages, or in some form of locked struggle and servitude.

Common Etiquette Rules
Often kind to a stranger point than most with their language and words. From early peaceful upbringings and companionship, they tend to trust each other easily, and find affections to be easy to distribute. They may speak to friends and even recent but warm acquaintances with terms of endearment, and struggle more to remember actual names in its places. Ending statements to someone with Chum/love/tea (slang of a good thing) is very common.
In contrast, they detest the way others may casually throw around detractive tones. For a kyois to say they "hate" something is a serious commitment, and not lightly said for bad weather, small pests, or even a casual bad day. Disagreements are often handled quick with the point in mind, or may end up quickly with small hostilities given they usually feel entitled to show their more genuine spite rather than say it. In only a more recent century or so have they come to widely understand other races are different, and try not to confuse their verbal disdain to be taken as seriously as their own.
