Churner Gun - KVCC Pistol

The Churner Gun - more retroactively give the formal classified name as the Kyberian Voltage Claw-Cannon (KVCC) by more human spectators - is a ryclin weapon produced across their more intimidating residents. If the magnum is considered more of a fire-spewing lava death pistol, then the Churner is the electric blaster brother of such a design. Its meant to hang on magna-belts from a compact form, and be wielded with one claw for ryclin Crashers and Solavore, or Keeper colonists that have found themselves in bad places. The design draws a pistol out with a fast-stuttering lower slide compartment that winds up, and helps support a charge into already fortified electric batteries. A separate chamber produces very light plasma rounds that pass through a violent charge. Synchronized tools can modify elements of the gun, like the voltage produced so it can be made more mild in pacifying attempts, or the inner chamber easily refitted with heavier blaster rounds if dealing with worse armor in hostile situations.   In default function, the gun produces fully-automatic rounds for a limited stream of fire. Bolts of blue fling out with lightning-like streaks, and upon hitting a target, pierce a shallow wound or dent and jolt their bodies into a paralyzed fury. Under light fire and some armor, nearly any victim survives. However sustained hits are a very painful end, and has been known to kill even targets that don't have their armor broken by just the tenacious ensnaring voltage. It also has done easy fatal damage when combined with environmental hazards, or underlying health issues. While ryclin very rarely fight among themselves, its considered a viable way to cripple one in a moment's notice without fully killing them (unless again, sustained fire and deliberate purpose is made). On a drawback, the gun has an automated safety function to avoid 'over-charge'. Unlike the Magnum blaster, pausing its fire or 'venting' it isn't optional. Its been suggested to be a liability in war-like scenarios with many foes to take out quickly, and more for smaller confrontations.   There is some contention about the name. Churner or Churner Gun was a confusing title to aliens witnessing it after its production and circulation. As some humans even fitted the design basis into methods like turrets and drone uses, they felt the name was strange, and came up with a more 'weaponizing' name. However most ryclin still give it the original name, and persist the idea comes from the way rounds bury in and stun the body to convulse, rattle, or 'churn'. Some ryclin are even fine to assume it even refer to making someone look like how a heavy meal feels in their belly, struggling with no other choice but to flail with discomfort.

Visual Description

Almost always a dark blue design, showing more of a dim cobalt hue against the standard ziighorite navy on most solavore suits. When active there is sometimes a brighter cyan 'aura' to the top chamber of the weapon to indicate a positive feedback to the user that it is primed. It shaped roughly like a pistol with a barrel and armored upper chamber, with one grip for a bigger claw. The lower half has a different sliding chamber hinged on by a long stem-like system that pushes and stirs it a little like a rolling crankshaft with a higher speed based on when the weapon was last fired. Most have loosely named the lower half or the slight gap in the weapon as the 'teeth' or the gun, and an old saying was that idiots who mishandled and shocked themselves were 'bitten' or 'sticking their finger in the teeth'.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Akin to the Thermal Magnum Blaster its made with a deliberate folding and compacting system, while shaped like a pistol for a ryclin's grasp. It stays with a grip and vertical back-end holding in inactive mode. Once deployed, the top slides out and downward to grab and bind with a exuding barrel chamber, and produces a holographic read over the top as to its prep and UI. A more diagnoal slide comes from the bottom-half, and only partially clutches the barrel with some space. To help the voltage of the weapon, the under-slide actually rattles and pumps itself with friction and static to circulate the energy. It feeds into the batteries to provide a near infinite firing capacity, only ever needing a change or 'reload' if the batteries actually rot or get damaged. In most instances, there's actually even a pad of friction almost hidden under the main center barrel to help 'build' the charge, though its been disputed in numerous studies how much true static electricity is working with this. The handle has been made with a conductor resistant polish, so the weapon never 'backfires' on the user unless they were mishandling it more from the front-end or the 'teeth' of the churning underside.
