The Shattered Life
The Matuk Belt is a ring of asteroids that formed when the planets Kegnatania, Vanreon, and Enroth collided and shattered apart. Strange magic was released when that happened which caused many of the surface chunks of the planets to still have atmospheres and maintain the landscapes they originally had. Overall about 1 in 10 asteroids still have atmosphere and gravity, these asteroids have become vacation homes for the rich, hideouts for criminals, and colonies used for mining and research.
