The Praetari
The Praetari is the Numarian name for the the Forgotten Ones - the cursed souls of the first mortals who were cast into the Ocasus for their pride.
Unlike the denizens of Cirra, Numarians generally do not encounter the Praetari or their Thralls - in dreams or otherwise. As a result, their view of the Praetari is almost a mythological one. It is known that in ancient times, the Numares banished or destroyed the first mortals, but those who have never left Numaria have no reason to believe that the Praetari's influence holds any strength at present.
It is unknown to scholars and theologians why the Praetari do not have the same influence on Numaria as they do in Cirra. However, once the numari began to explore the rest of Orbis and came upon Cirra, reports of the Praetari appearing to that particular Numarian diaspora through night terrors began to surface.
Maloris
