Barakkus the Great Tempest

Barakkus is known as the boisterous, thunderous powerhouse fighter of The Crimson Chariot. Fables have been passed down of his immense strength and fortitude in the heat of battle. Therefore, he earned himself the title of the Great Tempest, giving him dominion over the domain of the sky and the storms. His people are usually fierce warriors or knights of honor and nobility, and these worshippers pray to their patron in anticipation of a great battle or incursion. Barakkus was created with the Morninglord’s lighthearted nature and therefore is known to care greatly for his allies and direct his wrath towards his enemies. The original dispenser of such wrath is the Great Tempest’s Titanic Magnus, a heavy iron spiked Warhammer and chain of shining metal that can be used as a melee or projectile weapon of massive thundering power. Additionally, the Great Tempest has a mark of his victories in the form of a fist holding up a similar Warhammer in front of a lightning bolt crest.

Depictions

In all icons showing the Great Tempest, he is shown as an immense titan of a warrior adorned in shining silver and gold-plated armor. Much like his father the Morninglord, his body radiates enormous amounts of light. However, the Great Tempest’s light is concentrated in his blazing eyes and his exquisite Viking-style beard. According to legend, his presence is so imposing that it appears as though the pure energy of his storms flow throughout his body, giving him the appearance of a living thunderstorm. This impressive posture has earned his icons positions such as blessing fortresses or warrior camps due to the belief that his stature can actually ward off monsters with how threatening it is.

March on Titan's Keep

The Great Tempest’s holy day is known as the March of Titan’s Keep, which is also commonly known for commemorating the final battle of the Cosmic Radiation where the Crimson Chariot sealed away the Infinite Discord and returned peace to the land. It is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the Dragon Chant Moon and is a celebration known throughout all society. Many people celebrate the day differently through feasting and festivities, but followers of the Great Tempest specifically choose to celebrate with contests of strength within their ranks in order to please their patron. Following the tournament, his faithful warriors return to the mess hall for a grand feast filled with merrymaking.
