Perhaps the ease of setting up a pickup game and the relatively small court size makes Basketball extremely popular in the denser cities across the United North American States (UNAS). Whatever the reason, this sport's popularity has persisted over the years, with the only real major change occurring with the uniforms. Unlike the loose 21st century jerseys, current uniforms are more form fitting and equipped with special moisture wicking and cooling fabrics to keep competitors in the game. Some of the more popular teams participate in exhibition matches off-world, traveling all the way to Luna and Mars for more spectacular games in the reduced gravity.
