Introduction
Area Overview
I can't say it's terribly likely that I'm making too many friends in the Travertine City by writing this guide, nor among the Dragogora. Travelers to Dodiöu Réijmí require a permit from a trusted resident before the esteemed guard organization permits them passage. Therefore, my editor has asked that I preface this with a humble warning from your favorite wanderer that you should not plan a visit to Dodiöu Réijmí without the proper permissions. I recommend befriending a draconologist, or perhaps a gnomish inventor. I do not recommend smuggling yourself into the city within a barrel of prunes. A halfling gentleman of a certain age, spry as he may still be, was not designed for the same packing conditions as dehydrated stone fruit.
But oh, the wonders one can see on the gleaming streets! Its carriages are powered by steam pistons, thanks to the continual magical flames that sit in their center-- nary a horse or ox to be seen! (As extraordinary as they are, one should really use caution around them. They travel quite fast, and colliding with one would undoubtedly be an unpleasant experience and possibly one's last.) And in all my life I have never seen quite so much glass. They say that its strength and its spectacular colors come from being cured with dragon's breath. Imagine dragonkin being so commonplace that architects enlist them for contractor work! One would have to be sure to pay them fair union rates, of course. I could scarcely imagine even Archduke Hosschultz tussling with a draconic union representative.
There is a rumor that swirls around the residents that even greater wonders are planned. Deep in the heart of the mountain, where neither a silver tongue nor a spot of prune-based espionage will allow you to reach, there is a secret society of sages hard at work on an impossible task: to catapult Dodiöu Réijmí into perpetual flight. Imagine, an entire city soaring like a dragon! The mere thought terrifies and yet thrills me... and yet, I cannot help but have practical concerns. Where, for instance, would the sewage system flow? Ah, but I meander. The dream of sending Dodiöu Réijmí untethered into the clouds is surely just that.

Much of the city is built to quite a large scale, to accommodate the size of its orokhim and dragonborn citizens. There are wonderful accommodations in place for those of slightly smaller build, though, and I found that the gnome-friendly steps, seats, and transports made my stay exceedingly comfortable.
