Salamandron

A salamandron is an Anthrohumanoid species that originates from the Lands of Ash. They have limited contact with the peoples of the Western Woods and Erdelan.
Those who intrude upon salamandron territory are usually treated with suspicion and hostility, but the few who are peaceful and patient enough to get past their defenses find honest, inventive people, well-adapted to their harsh and bleak environment.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Salamandrons are primarily bipedal creatures, standing between three and five feet tall at adulthood. They can scuttle on all fours for a significant burst of speed, but most prefer to remain on two legs so as to retain free use of their dextrous claws. They have three fingers and one thumb on each limb, all ending in a sharp, curved talon roughly half an inch in length.
The bodies of salamandrons are coated entirely in tough scales, in colors that range from black-brown to yellow to vivid green.

Salamandrons have a strong preference for hot, dry climates.
