Pando
Pando is a mysterious organism that comprises the entirety of the aspen tree cover of the Golden Groves, within the Autumn Court of the Feywild. It consists of a single sapient clonal aspen colony of indeterminable size. Though it does not participate in the official organizational meetings of the Autumn Court, some recent scholarship from various faeroxologists proposes that Pando is, itself, an ancient Archfey. The name "Pando" is a placeholder by scholars, derived from the Sylvan word for "forest." As is the case with all archfey, Pando's true name is a closely guarded secret and heretofore unknown.
Pando is capable of controlling its trees and rhizomes so quickly and carefully as to impede or advance the movement of creatures that travel within it. Many planewalkers' accounts describe stretches of multiple days, weeks, or even months spent lost within Pando's maze of identical trees. However, other reports describe Pando as a friendly entity, happily wiling to communicate or negotiate with those who show it kindness.
