Orlond-grass

Orlond-grass is the plant from which Orlondë is harvested. It is a domesticated grass that grows between three and six feet tall at maturity, and turns from a bright yellow-green color when young to a deep gold when ready for harvest.
It was first cultivated in middle Scalados, where it still grows best, given its need for cold winters, fertile soil, and close proximity to Fey magic. Small farms along the Borderlands and the Southern Duchy of Dreibach, particularly on the outskirts of Adamant, also have some success growing it.
Orlond-grass is a symbol of middle Scalados and of Dagda. When mentioned in an Alaquetta or other poetry, it is used as a shorthand for pastoral nostalgia, rural lands, and late summer.
