Nolber

Nolber is a village in the Borderlands, south of Cantonova and north of the Gaeno Woods, on the southwestern edge of the Haldara Peninsula. It is the silk capital of the continent, supplying most of the silk for the Cantonovan fashion trade. Its resident circle of Druids, the Circle of Weavers, protects its many craft secrets.

Demographics

The village is roughly equal parts halflings and elves (primarily wood elves), with a handful of humans. A few halfling and elven families have intermarried in recent years and borne half-elf children.

Government

Nolber is within the jurisdiction of Cantonova, votes in the Borderlands district elections, and is currently represented by Terminatur. Within village limits, the Circle of Weavers serves as a de facto town council.

Industry & Trade

Nolber thrives on its silk trade. Residents harvest silk from moth larvae, feeding them leaves from the wild and cultivated mulberry groves that surround the village. A few select farmers, usually the families of well-regarded members of the Circle of Weavers, also practice the ancient and secret methods of harvesting sea silk from mollusks in the tidepools common along the village's shore.
