Half-Elf
A half-elf is a Humanoid who shares significant lineage from both Elf and Human ancestors. Most half-elves are born to one human parent and one elf parent, though some are born to two elves, an elf and a half-elf, or a human and a half-elf. These latter two are significantly more common when the elf parent has some small amount of human ancestry, or the human parent has some amount of elf ancestry.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Half-elves are, on average, shorter than humans by 2-3 inches. Their skin tones range from ivory to deep brown-black. Their hair is most typically brown or black, but can also be shades of blond or reddish-orange. Most male half-elves grow facial and body hair similar to an average human, though it is rare for a half-elf to be particularly hirsute. Body hair on female half-elves tends to be sparser and lighter than on human females, on average.
Genetics and Reproduction
Half-elf fertility is much closer in line to a human's than an elf's. Those capable of carrying children are typically fertile starting around 15-17 years of age and stretching into their late 50s or early 60s. The average menstruation cycle occurs roughly every 60 days.
