Djólla

Djólla is a soft, fluffy steamed white bread that is a staple of traditional Gnomish cuisine. It is made of a mix of milled flour, water, and yeast that is left to rise, shaped into balls, and cooked over steam in a wicker or woven bamboo basket. The resulting bread is slightly sticky to the touch and very chewy.   There are two main styles of djólla: Klïppington-style, which is dense and often filled with meats or fruit fillings, and Klöppington-style, which is incredibly light and fluffy, often baked into fanciful shapes and usually served beside creamy soups or rich dipping sauces. Proponents of each style fiercely defend their preferences and often disparage those who eat the other kind.
