Contessa
A contessa is the daughter of a Count and Countess, in the same way that a princess is the daughter of a King. The title is primarily in use in places where counts hold significant power, such as in Cantonova. Under most hereditary systems, contessas do not inherit power or hold land unless the count leaves no male heirs, though they often gain political and diplomatic influence by marrying into other royal families. The exception to this rule is in Erdelan, where a familial title automatically goes to the first child of the family to directly give birth to a child themselves.
