The Servants of Gods

Before official confirmation of the existence of Meta-Humans, global communities begin to emerge that don't just follow the sudden appearance of these superhumans, they become fanatical. Most of these groups are harmless, collecting videos of sightings, developing theories on their origins, or debunking/creating conspiracy theories.
But one group in particular grows in width and breadth, and believes Meta-Humans to be the saviors of humanity, an evolutionary response by the planet, here to rescue the world from secret organizations trying to destroy civilization from the shadows. These devout followers call themselves "The Servants of Gods" and they worship Meta-Humans. They all worship in different ways, some sending Metas money, others giving them places to live or offering them work... and in some cases, they offer sanctuary from the law.
Some Metas reluctantly accept their worship, some are repluced by the idea, but all Meta-Humans are considered holy by The Servants of Gods, and followers are given explicit instructions not to bring harm to the Metas no matter the circumstance. Some Metas have even joined the religion, serving as prophets and leading worship services where parishioners offer gifts and complete acts of fealty, but this is merely a front. Behind the facade of 'Religious Revival' services, is an inner circle called "The Gods' Spear", and they have one goal in mind; Replace world leaders with Metas by any means necessary, so they can rule with an iron fist.
Communication in and amongst the inner circle is done through custom encrypted apps, and via message boards on the dark web, so the few authorities that even acknowledge the Spear's existence, have not been able to track them down. No one even knows if any of the Gods Spear have ever met in person. What is known is they are everywhere, in many walks of life, and at various heights of power and political influence. They are ruthless, and efficient in their pursuit of their goals and will stop at nothing to achieve them.
