Technological Level Of The Frost

Although the world would fall into disarray and devastation after World War III broke out on October 25th, 1962; many advancements in technology and magic, similar to what was done in the main branch of the timeline, were able to come to pass in some regards, while other things had been developed by the survivors in the rush to survive the frozen tundra that makes up the world now.

Remnants Of The Past

VHS Memoria

Various types of formats such as VHS, Beta-max, and Instant Film became commonplace in an earlier time frame than what was originally predicted by some experts before World War III. With Instant Film and VHS having become commonplace in the 60s, media exploded to a degree unlike anything ever before. Nowadays, the old formats are revered in a nostalgic sort of way, with some places keeping large stockpiles of collected tapes of movies from the years before the world froze over. Alongside that, the Deepcore Foundation had created its own brand of Instant Film cameras in the 50s, called MEMORIA, which had been produced en masse before World War III broke out, making them a commodity and a wonderful find for Searchers.

Means of Transportation

Due to the fact that automobiles have become near impossible to find after the world froze over, several alternative ways of travel had to be created. With railroads and highways having somewhat survived the onslaught of the nuclear blasts, people often travel alongside these old roads using horse-pulled carriages, dog sleighs, the rare motorized sled made out of scrap, and Snow Gliders. Snow Gliders are the most noteworthy way for people to get around, as they are made using a mix of sails, Flame Edenite gems, and large steel skis. They're oftentimes the most efficient for getting across snowy terrain, though construction of them typically takes a bit of time.

Superstructures

Long after the invention of Depthmektal in the 1920s, the Deepcore Foundation, as well as various other companies at the time, invested in designing Superstructures, buildings that can survive even the most powerful blast or the strongest earthquake. Due to the mining and war efforts that the Deepcore Foundation was funding at the time, most Superstructures are located underground in their mine-shafts, which has allowed for locations such as Shelter 19 to thrive.

Warp Stones and Stations

Warp Stones are magical trinkets that had been uncovered and researched throughout the 60s before World War III. Said to have been created by the same entities that those whom worship Starism spoke of, Warp Stones and Warp Stations are able to warp people between locales with ease. Meticulously crafted with a high amount of magic and covered in runes that represent the destination where a Warp Station is, Warp Stones are able to take people just about anywhere. Due to the lack of knowledge on how to create a Warp Station, however, the only locales that have them are within the territories of The Umbra and The Order Of The Holy Stone, as well as within Terlingua within the Frozen Core.

Survivalist's Inventions

Makeshift Edenite Fire-starter

Making use of two Edenite gems with flame elementia, one can make a makeshift fire-starter that functions either by the two gems grinding or striking against each other. This has allowed people to create various lighters for fireplaces, lanterns, and such rather quickly. Most common are Edenite Heaters, which uses Edenite instead of electricity to heat up various coils all pushed together.

Greenhouses

People had begun building Greenhouses to not only keep themselves warm, but to have some form of greenery so that one can grow crops. Made with various types of materials and built from existing Greenhouses from before the war, or buildings that had been converted into Greenhouses, these buildings are often found all around the world, filled to the brim with various fruits and vegetables.
