Emperor Alencil (Ah-len-see-al)

Emperor Alencil reigned immediatley following Emperor Alboril IV's death since Alboril's heir, Prince Arten, died five days before the Emperor. As the Chief Advisor for the Emperor at the time of Alboril IV's he had the opportunity to claim the throne in an attempt to both gain power and avoid a civil war. His reign lasted from 6 Veric, 549 to 5 Gred, 555 when Emperor Alboril V conqured Albion.
Alencil struggled to maintain and gain more allies to support his rule. He succeeded in garnering support withinn the city of Albion as well as much of the cenral region; however, the west was fiercly loyal to Price Alboril V and the east was loyal to Princess Jordyna. Prince Diagil held a strong foothold in the north, Prince Airdil was popular in the far south towards modern day Mel Kanen and Princess Saranya amassed a following in the south central region. Prince Chardil controled the north west.
The first few years of his short reign were relativley quiet as the country prepared for an evermore likley civil war. However, that changes once Prince Alboril V captured Prince Chardil and absorbed his armies. Finally having enough power to take the throne by force, Prince Alboril V marched into the capital and seized the throne during the First Assault on Albion.
