The Phoenix
The Icon of Faith
The Phoenix, also known as the Eternal Follower, is depicted as a thin, average height human samurai with a fiery tabard overtop gleaming steel armor. The Phoenix is well known for standing in the way of insurmountable danger in the name of the duty thrust upon him. The Phoenix is often worshipped by those that have lost faith and are seeking to regain it. His mount is recognized as being a Celestial Battle Chariot.
Dogma
The Phoenix is an ambitious and foolhardy Icon. His standing as an Icon of Faith is due to His unwillingness to leave matters unfinished. This has given Him the uncanny ability to not die, but come back through sheer force of will. This is a matter that confounds and irritates the Overlord and Tenebrous, but they allow such actions as the Phoenix represents the strength of faith itself.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
The Phoenix appreciates the ability to maintain faith in the times of strife and turmoil. To hold out some sliver of hope that the Icons will aid you. Through maintaining your religious fervor, you gain favor in the Phoenix's eyes. However, this favor can be lost if your faith wavers. Redemption, however, is just as easily gained as it is lost. Or at least, it is simple. One must only find their faith again for them to find redemption.
Interactions with the world
The Phoenix is an ever present observer of Omen. He watches His followers and followers of other Icons to make sure that they hold their beliefs as well as they hold themselves up. It is often noticed by the other Icons that the Phoenix even watches other pantheons' followers just to see if they are maintaining their faith. Worshippers of the Phoenix are oftentimes bold, courageous, and can often be ignorant of danger. But this doesn't stop them from helping others find their faith again.
