Szczyrzyc

The Great Being of Spellcraft

Szczyrzyc is a kobold that sought out large concentrations of magic to try and ascend within Their caste. The difficulties that He encountered were greater than what a normal kobold would often experience. However, He eventually made a pact with a Great Dragon, but this pact was kept secret until the eventual reveal upon Szczyrzyc’s death. Ravoth, the Great Dragon of Loyalty, had rewarded Szczyrzyc with the option of becoming one of the Great Beings. And with this, Szczyrzyc accepted and was given a position that allowed Him to govern over magic amongst the balahran peoples. His mount is recognized as being a Blue Drake.

Dogma

Szczyrzyc is a reclusive kobold that desires only to found new ways of transmogrifying magic into new forms. However, Szczyrzyc was never one to trust others with His findings, and tends to trap His new spells with burdens and detriments so others would be deterred. Szczyrzyc has oftentimes attempted to procure and alter existing spells and has tried to replace those spells with His own. As much of a trickster as He is, most of His attempts fail.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Balahran worshippers of the Alliance of Scales do not have to seek redemption from them as their faith is not gifted, but taken. Szczyrzyc’s favor is gained through the casting and manipulating of spells. This even applies in the form of creative uses for spells outside of their intended use.

Interactions with the World

Szczyrzyc influences the actions of His worshippers through guidance. Szczyrzyc’s guidance upon His worshippers is manipulating the rules behind spells and breaking the thresholds that hold back magic from its purest and most raw state. Szczyrzyc’s loyalty to Ravoth was unwavering and His sacrifice for making the faith magic for the balahran was necessary. If it wasn’t for Szczyrzyc, the Thirteen may have destroyed all of Xilunwa. And thus, Szczyrzyc provided the divine and arcane magic that all balahran are infused with.
