Rotgut
The Embodiment of Forgotten Knowledge
Rotgut was a troglodyte shaman that sought the mysteries of divinity. Upon being awakened mentally by Ginnie Highgate, the Icon of Motherhood, Rotgut began His research into how deities came to be, and how they are undone. Through His research He learned that divinity can be lost and can subsequently die off. With this, He eventually became enamored with a few of these Vestiges. He is also a part of the Monster Pantheon as The Champion of Magic. His mount is recognized as being a Drake.
Dogma
Rotgut is a curious and peaceful troglodyte. He is often satisfied with His actions and holds no regrets. When it comes to knowledge, Rotgut has seen that there should be no boundaries or rules as limitations are meant to be tested. With this in mind, His tenets lead to many worshippers to push forward into uncovering knowledge long forgotten in hopes of utilizing what was lost as a guide for the now.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Gaining favor with Rotgut is quite simple. All that is required is for the worshipper to pursue knowledge without restraint or restriction. However, to hinder others in their pursuit of knowledge or even aid in the destruction of knowledge is cause for loss of favor. Redemption is only found through relieving and spreading typically forbidden magics in hopes that the knowledge of it can be utilized for the betterment of the Omedei.
Interactions with the World
Rotgut’s contribution to Omedei comes in the form of golden rings found across Omedei and is often reflected across the Outer Planes. These rings are known as the Sixteen Rings of the Void. Golden veins in seemingly random locations, if one were to utilize these rings correctly they can visit some of the major planar locations that each of the pantheons reside in. Nobody truly knows how to utilize these rings, but it is believed that if one were to be genuine in their pursuit of knowledge long forgotten, then the rings will resonate and transport the planar traveler to a location suitable for their pursuits.
