Ralysh
The Icon of Disease
Ralysh, also known as the Withered Touch, is a withered old man wrapped in blood soaked bandages that are barely covered by His blackened robe to protect His body from natural light. His disheveled body rests in a wheelchair that is operated by memory and motion mana. Ralysh was a well-respected transcriber in His guild, and had become the leader of it after the grievous loss of Valas, the Icon of Sight. Ralysh, in His desire to further the goals of His guild, focused on gathering as much information as possible to combat the menace of the denizens of the Forgotten Battlefield and Wispkin Hell. His mount is recognized as being a decrepit, old and battered Axiomatic Chariot.
Dogma
Ralysh is a patient and straightforward Icon that does not truly care about how others view Him as long as they are well informed. Ralysh, if there are no able bodies to take on field work, will put His own life on the line in the pursuit of bettering His guild. And more importantly, finding clarifying research for future breakthroughs in magical applications.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
To gain favor with Ralysh, one must share knowledge with others, and knowledge should be considered free to all. However, there are restrictions. To aid in children practicing magic is strictly forbidden and is grounds for losing favor with Him. Moreso, restricting access to anyone beyond this one tenet is grounds for loss of favor. The only form of redemption that can be found with Ralysh is one of personal sacrifice. To sacrifice one’s body to Relaban, the Deific Blight, is what Ralysh requires of His faithful. If one were to do this, they will gain an understanding as to why Ralysh cares for the advancement and spread of knowledge. Life is short, and that time must be used productively.
Interactions with the world
Ralysh’s interactions with Omen are very few. His only true interactions are that of bestowing Relaban upon His faithful and restricting the mana flow of those too young to wield magic safely. This was a mercy that He provided to mortals of all kinds. As this was what stops those before reaching adolescence from casting spells and potentially endangering society. Worshippers of Ralysh are typically scholars, archivists, and mages.
