Meredith

The Champion of Oceans

Meredith is a female sea nymph that acted as a floor champion for Zircon. Her floor was a valley with an island in the center of a lake near the edge of the floor as this also housed Her many animals that She took great offense to the harm of. After Her severing from Zircon, She traveled across the Great Core in search of discovery and freedom. Oftentimes, seafarers that worship Meredith have paintings of Meredith near their resting areas in hopes that She will spare them if the weather were to ever turn. She is also a part of the Nature Pantheon as The Embodiment of Seas, and the Elf Pantheon as The Guardian Idol of the Sea and Weather. Her mount is recognized as being a Vello Cave Tyrannosaurus.

Dogma

Meredith is a very aggressive and blunt Champion, and this is emphasized in Her spiteful nature against those that have wronged Her. If one were to earn Her respect and trust, She is undyingly loyal and will seek to nurture that bond unless the foolish mistake of breaking that bond were to occur. She is incredibly spiteful towards dwarves and anyone that wears metal, and polluting the ocean with metal is even more abhorrent to Her.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Gaining favor with Meredith is rather straightforward. For Meredith, this is done through the pursuit of personal freedom. Meredith had overcome a myriad of extremes when She assisted Nadir in His travels, but all of which was liberating for Her to enjoy the air and sea. Losing favor with Meredith is incredibly easy as it is normally lost through metal being discarded into the ocean and the general mistreatment of wildlife. To gain back Her favor, one must live a year out at sea and return to a life without the use of any metallic items and trinkets.

Interactions with the World

Worshippers of Zircon tend to develop the spiteful nature that Meredith is known for. She is responsible for the changes in weather and the conditions of the sea. Many Meredith worshippers tend to have issues with Nadir worshippers as Nadir worshippers typically pollute the oceans with metal coinage. With this being said, Meredith worshippers tend to avoid being on the same vessels as Nadir worshippers. However, contrary to what happens between these two groups of worshippers, Meredith and Nadir get along rather well since they do indeed know each other.
