Meredith
The Guardian Idol of the Sea and Weather
Meredith is a Female Wood Elf with tan skin and hair of sundried wood. She is often depicted wearing sea captain’s attire of varying styles and patterns based on the seasons. For Lesei, Her attire is described as having the sky worn on Her person. For Voraila, Her attire is described as the very seas have embraced Her body. For Tualul, Her attire is described as a forest shrouded in darkness that travels along the waves in search of lights to extinguish. And for Liruk, Her attire is described as fog and ice meeting and coalescing until given a feminine form just as cold and ominous. The Guardian Idol Herself is often represented in watercolor paintings depicting discovery and varying degrees of tumultuous weather and Her conquering it. Oftentimes, seafarers that worship Meredith have paintings of Meredith near their resting areas in hopes that She will spare them if the weather were to ever turn. She is also a part of the Nature Pantheon as The Embodiment of Seas, and the Monster Pantheon as The Champion of Oceans. Her mount is recognized as being a Vello Cave Tyrannosaurus.
Dogma
Meredith is a very aggressive and blunt Idol, and this is emphasized in Her spiteful nature against those that have wronged Her. If one were to earn Her respect and trust, She is undyingly loyal and will seek to nurture that bond unless the foolish mistake of breaking that bond were to occur. She is incredibly spiteful towards dwarves and anyone that wears metal, and polluting the ocean with metal is even more abhorrent to Her.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Gaining favor with Meredith is rather straightforward. For Meredith, this is done through the pursuit of personal freedom. Meredith had overcome a myriad of extremes when She assisted Nadir in His travels, but all of which was liberating for Her to enjoy the air and sea. Losing favor with Meredith is incredibly easy as it is normally lost through metal being discarded into the ocean and the general mistreatment of wildlife. To gain back Her favor, one must live a year out at sea and return to a life without the use of any metallic items and trinkets.
