The Divine Idol of Mourning and Healing

Elaina is a tan Female Wild Elf with verdant eyes and hair akin to willow branches. She is usually depicted wearing a robe emulating Tualul, but is as resilient and enduring as nature itself against time and assault. The Divine Idol Herself is often represented in carvings as an ambassador of the seasons. Her very presence a silent, mournful representation of the death of a season, and the ushering of another. Meredith, the Guardian Idol of the Sea and Weather, chooses only to work with Elaina as She is the only one that truly represents the cycle. Her mount is recognized as a Vello Unicorn.

Dogma

Elaina is generally a kindhearted Idol. She does not believe in acts of violence, but understands that life retaliates when provoked. She does not fight, but She lets the effects of conflict ravage its chosen battlefield so its scars to speak the tale the aggressors chose to tell. Elaina has weathered loss with a silent smile, has helped those that would only care to harm Her, and will heal all regardless of the circumstances.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Elaina’s favor is gained easily, but it cannot be lost. Worshippers will experience loss. Worshippers will heal from those losses over time. They will suffer, and they will learn from that suffering. Worshippers gain Her favor through trusting that they will heal from all wounds in time. And if they do not heal from these wounds, they will meet Her one day to ask as to why that is.

Interactions with the World

Elaina guides Her worshippers through mourning as She guides the seasons through their cycle. Elaina has always provided a tender touch to Her worshippers. Once one has experienced loss, She will grace them the next time they rest. A representation of the season will visit that worshipper as a representation of what was lost. This is to spur the worshipper into bereavement and the healing process can begin. Elaina wants Her worshippers to heal, and to keep those feelings trapped inside will only cause them to fester and rot. But that will eventually lead to their grief growing into something beautiful.
