Dai

The Icon of Tualul

Dai, also known as the Withering Youth, is an average height human that looks rather young for an Icon. He has long brown hair in a topknot ponytail and a red and brown gi, with a shortsword resting in a sheath of a dark wood coloration. Dai is known for His relationship with death itself. That beauty can come from loss and loss can bring people together. An event that equates this is the loss of Scarlet and Saavolus as this spurred Dai and His fellow soldiers to hold their own against hordes of devilkin. His mount is recognized as being a Warhorse.

Dogma

Dai is a mournful Icon. Loss is commonplace on Omen and especially on the battlefield. The loss of those closest to you can be the end of most hardened warriors. Dai, through all of His losses, is the one that offers His presence to those of loss. And thus, encourages the beauty and remembrance of those lost. This perfectly reflects Tualul as it is the waning of life and you have time to say goodbye to the life around you.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

Dai's favor, like the other seasonal Icons, is gained throughout His season. Tualul is Dai's season, and as such favor is gained through the celebrations of the holidays within Tualul. However, favor is lost when one does not participate in the festivities of Tualul. Redemption is rather straightforward to gain back as one just has to celebrate the holidays of Tualul.

Interactions with the world

All of the seasonal Icons do not truly interact with Omen, but they do influence how the holidays within their respective seasons will be portrayed. For Dai, this influence is that of Tualul's decay into Liruk. As the holidays are celebrated and the yield of crops are reaped, worshippers of Dai will experience more/less favorable circumstances depending on how well celebrated the season is. Most worshippers of Dai are farmers and soldiers that enlisted during Tualul.
